Read 2 Samuel 22.31; Psalm 18.30; Proverbs 30.5

Do you believe “every word of God?” If so why? If not why?

Read Numbers 23.19; 1 Samuel 15.29; Titus 1.2; Hebrews 6.18

Do these passages increase your confidence and trust in God’s Word? Why or why not?

Read Psalm 119.105; Proverbs 6.23

Have you ever been camping and tried to walk through the woods at night? How hard is it to see where you’re going or keep from tripping? Think about the various ways a flashlight would help? How much safer, competent and confident would you feel with a light?

Now compare and discuss how Scripture brings “light” to our lives so we can “see.”

How does God use His Word to lead and guide us on His “path?”

Discuss how our reliance on a flashlight is a picture of how we should rely on Scripture.  

Read Psalm 19.7-11

Discuss the ways in which you have experienced this passage.

Read Psalm 1.1-3

“Blessed” as used by the psalmist refers to a heightened state of happiness and joy.

Discuss how your happiness and joy might be increased by meditating on the scriptures.

What scriptures would you turn to? When will you make time?

How does memorizing God’s Word prevent us from “sinning?”
