Read Genesis 1.29; 2.15-16

Discuss the beauty, plenty and variety of foods that God gave to Adam and Eve in the garden. Imagine how it might compare to a Hawaiian garden or a well-stocked farmer’s market.

Read Genesis 3.8

Due to God’s presence in the garden with Adam and Eve, do you think God was present during meals with them?

If so, how do you think living and eating in God’s presence affected Adam & Eve’s relationship with God?

Discuss the difference between a holiday meal with family and friends and a fast-food meal eaten while driving. Which is a more joyful, satisfying, fulfilling time of fellowship?

Discuss how different meals would have been after Adam & Eve sinned and were removed from God’s presence.
